Pros and Cons
  • "This solution allowed us to move from using standalone systems to having all our data center management in one place."
  • "An area for improvement would be technical support. In the next release, I would like to see more features added to make this a more complete solution."

What is our primary use case?

My main use is server management and virtualization.

How has it helped my organization?

This solution allowed us to move from using standalone systems to having all our data center management in one place.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the interconnectivity, which allows me to use the system across my data centers and makes it easy to connect to other storage platforms.

What needs improvement?

An area for improvement would be technical support. In the next release, I would like to see more features added to make this a more complete solution.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using this solution for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

This solution is pretty stable.

How was the initial setup?

The setup was relatively straightforward because Hitachi sent engineers to take care of it, so it only took a few days.

What about the implementation team?

I implemented using Hitachi's team.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We had an issue with requiring more storage than our license allowed for well before the license was due for renewal. Our license initially covered the first five years and then is renewed annually.

What other advice do I have?

Before implementing, confirm what your support covers. I would give this solution a rating of eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises
